Villa Della Porta Bozzolo: the story of a rediscovered residence

Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, in Casalzuigno in Valcuvia, was built in the 16th century as the country home of the Della Porta family.

A refined holiday residence, it stands out for its monumental terraced garden with stairways, statues, fountains and the evocative “Theatre”, which creates spectacular perspective effects towards the Belvedere.

The interiors, frescoed in Rococo style between 1724 and 1726, feature halls and galleries populated by mythological figures.

Villa Della Porta Bozzolo preserves precious 18th-century furnishings, such as four-poster beds and a rich library of over two thousand volumes, and thanks to the refurbishment by Filippo Perego, it has regained the authentic atmosphere of a family home.
