History of Varano Borghi
Our Villa is one of the symbolic places of Varano Borghi, an ancient citadel built during the Bronze Age, almost 1000 years BC.
The meaning of the name
The name VARANO derives from the Celtic term "VAR" which indicates a place near the water of a Lake, while in Roman times the town was an important node for the whole Empire, so that some coins were minted with the effigy of Varano Borghi and numerous amphorae and historical artifacts came to light during the construction of our Villa.
"BORGHI" is undoubtedly linked to the family of Fedele Borghi, a textile entrepreneur who in the early '800 installed a first spinning machine, starting a small industrial revolution throughout the territory. In these years we owe also the first renovation of our Villa, which acquires the Liberty style that distinguishes us and that we preserve with passion.
